GRIP-EMS v2.3.16 is live as of July 29, 2026.
This one is about credit, whose name ends up on a sequence you imported.
The fix
Importing a sequence, opening it, and saving it could quietly stamp you as the original author. Older sequences upgrade their signature on first save, and that upgrade was writing your identity into the author field. When an import turned up unsigned, there was nothing to upgrade, but the stamp happened anyway, so someone else’s work ended up wearing your byline. Not anymore. Saving an unsigned import now keeps it unsigned, and the author field stays with the original creator. Fixed in both the main editor and the popup editor.
What else changed
An import with no provenance field used to show the amber Damaged badge, as if the data were corrupt. It wasn’t; all three import paths just defaulted that field to a value the verifier didn’t recognize. It now correctly reads “Provenance unknown.”
The badge also explains itself now. Hovering over it shows a sentence for what each verdict means, across all six: Verified, Modified, Tampered, Damaged, Forked, Provenance unknown.
Grab it on CurseForge, Wago, or WoWInterface.
